His agent was on TS yesterday. Sounded like a right self-absorbed cunt. Said that Bale was by far the best British player ever. I nearly crashed my car! I mean, Bale was fucking quality but the best British player ever?

To be fair, nobody gives a fuck about the Club World Cups, the European Super Cups or the Spanish Sper Cups (FA Community Sheild equiv). Plus he took no part in one of those Champions League wins and got a medal for being an unused sub.
It's still an impressive record, but Ian Rush won:
5 League Championships
2 European Cups
3 FA Cups
5 League Cups
4 Charity Shields
I would suggest Rush won his honours in more competitive competitions, in a less dominant team and at a time when you didn't get a medal for being one of an infinite number of subs.

Plus various World, Intercontinental and Super Cups and 9 Community Shields, which, as I said, nobody gives a fuck about.
